Who is it suitable for?
For some, worry and rumination can become so burdensome that it interferes with daily functioning or relationships. This tool helps you become aware of thoughts and feelings and techniques that can be used to manage them.
What does the coping tool contain?
The tool provides you with insights and tools to understand and manage worry and general anxiety (GAD). It consists of six parts:
- Anxiety and worry
You learn the difference between normal and problematic worry, and how basic needs such as security and control affect how you deal with uncertainty. - Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
You will gain knowledge about the symptoms, causes and common attitudes of GAD, and how anxiety develops and is maintained. You will learn to recognize your patterns and become more aware of your own reactions. - Concerns
You will learn to manage rumination and worry through specific techniques such as “thinking offices” and distancing yourself from ruminative thoughts. The goal is to create more calm and presence in everyday life. - Change
You will receive practical strategies for changing mental habits such as rumination and worry. You will learn how «if–then» plans and concrete actions can break negative thought cycles. An optional section on co-rumination helps couples who find themselves in repetitive worry conversations. - Mastery
Exercises to reduce stress, find balance in everyday life and practice presence through relaxation and mindfulness. - Prevention
You look back on what you have learned, create a plan for further coping, and gain access to a toolbox of strategies to prevent relapse.

The course gives me room to reflect on the "complex" that I have not previously done. Now it is beginning and I am well on my way in the right direction. Many thanks for the great help and a tool for the rest of my life!!!"«
