Schedule positive activities. Do something you enjoy every day – even if you have to force yourself at first. If nothing seems pleasurable, think back to what you used to love doing before. Did you enjoy going to the movies? Did you often visit friends? Read books? Create something? Exercise? Go fishing? Go bowling?
As the popular saying goes – “Fake it until you make it.” In this case, it means you first might need to force yourself into being active, but soon enough you will start feeling better. Eventually you will get there, regardless of how hard and meaningless it might feel in the beginning.
