What do the online courses contain?

The online courses for anxiety, depression and sleep difficulties contain exercises, tasks and information from cognitive therapy. Each of the online courses consists of 6 parts, with a test before and after the course is completed.

Who created the online courses?

The online courses have been created by two Norwegian psychologists, Aksel Inge Sinding and Oskar Blakstad. Parts of the courses are based on workbooks made by Molde Municipality, which we have been allowed to use. The courses have been reviewed by a number of professionals and are continuously changed if we are notified of errors or omissions.

How does it work?

Users gain access either by getting a code from their therapist/healthcare personnel or by purchasing access at course page. The user then goes to the front page AssistedSelfHelp.com to enter the code. When users have entered the code, they get the content of the course that was chosen.

It requires no installation or integration to get started. Most people manage to be up and running within a minute or two.

Privacy

An anonymisation system with unique codes is used to give users access to the system. No data that can identify the user will thus be stored in the database. The only thing that links a person to an individually adapted online course is a code consisting of numbers and letters (for example "BG42KD2") that the user is given. This method has been checked by lawyers and meets criteria for privacy protection for healthcare services.
